Sponsoring sports clubs and promoting young talent in Friedrichshafen

From the region for the region

As a family business with strong roots in the region, the promotion of young, committed talent is particularly important to us. We therefore prioritise young people from our region as part of our sponsorship activities.

HÜNI+CO supports young talent at the Seerose Friedrichshafen cycling club

The basis of a successful sports club is formed by committed doers, motivated coaches and ambitious athletes of all age groups - and of course sponsors from society and business. This is why HÜNI+CO has been supporting the youth work of RSV Seerose Friedrichshafen e.V. as a sponsor since 2023.

RSV Seerose Friedrichshafen is probably one of the most traditional cycling clubs in the German-speaking world. Last year, the club celebrated its 100th birthday, and today, with around 200 very active and cycling-enthusiastic members, it is livelier than ever before in its long history. And younger too. This is because the RSV Seerose has been able to get an astonishing number of children and young people interested in cycling for several years now. Perhaps even more astonishing: it is mainly girls who regularly take to the saddle in the colours of their club.

Role models at world-class level

This may also be due to their role models, who have emerged in recent years thanks to the great youth work and promotion of young talent. There is Juliane Lippert, for example, a real home-grown talent. The 25-year-old won her first cycling race in 2008 and is now one of the best in the World Tour. Juliane won the European Junior Championships in 2016, is the reigning German champion on a racing bike and even won a stage of the Tour de France Femmes this year.

From Lake Constance to the Olympics

And then there are Clara Koppenburg and Laura Süßemilch, who both raced for RSV Seerose for a while as teenagers. The two have also been among the international cycling elite for years, consistently racing at the top level and regularly finishing on the podium. Clara has competed in numerous professional races since 2015, most recently leading the Cofidis Women Team as captain. The 28-year-old will switch to the EF Education-Cannondale team next season. Laura mainly races on the track, was nominated for the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo and was European and World Champion with the women's four in the same year!

Successful club record

Three female racers who started their professional careers at RSV Seerose - that is of course a great record. But above all, the RSV Seerose stands for popular and amateur sport, offering a varied cycling programme not only for children but also for senior citizens, with many tours and regional and national races. "RSV Seerose is a great club that gets young people on their bikes," says Alexa Hüni.

Support in the promotion of young talent

Our Managing Director is an enthusiastic cyclist herself. Alexa knows that "if you want to be successful as a sports club, you not only need committed doers, motivated coaches and ambitious athletes, but also sponsors from society and business." And because this is the case, HÜNI+CO has been supporting the youth work of RSV Seerose Friedrichshafen as a sponsor since 2023.
